The Municipal Course That Hosted a Birthday

The place

Bartley Cavanaugh is Sacramento municipal golf with a river in its neighborhood and very little interest in luxury branding. In 2026 it also became the golf half of a birthday: friends, optional humiliation, and a shotgun of people who came as much for the barbecue as the fairways. That is allowed. Golf can be a journey around the world and still be the place you invite people on a Saturday in your own city.
